FOI release on Transport Decarbonisation Plan lets sceptics start critical analysis

The Department for Transport has bowed to pressure and released additional information on the assumptions behind its expected pathway to Net Zero

Intense scrutiny of the coherence and consistency of the Government’s plans to meet their climate change and net zero commitments for transport is set to follow the surprise decision by the DfT to publish the assumptions underpinning its projections in the Transport Decarbonisation Plan as sought by Professor Greg Marsden.

The Department had announced in December it would appeal the Information Commissioner’s decision to require its release.
