The Scottish Parliament’s Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee has challenged Màiri McAllan, the cabinet secretary for transport, over the withdrawal of funding next year for the Bus Partnership Fund (BPF) and the reduced allocation of rail funding (LTT 10 January).
The BPF was announced in 2020 as a major injection of capital for bus priority infrastructure, with £500m to be awarded to projects across Scotland.
