The Department for Transport has promised to embed consideration of climate risks in scheme business case process and decision making, with supporting new guidance including revisions to the TAG system by the end of 2025.
The pledges come in a new report Adapting the UK’s transport system - Fit for a changing climate? which examines readiness in planning and action for the impacts of new weather conditions and climate risks on the transport system.
