FirstGroup has continued its aggressive purchasing of independent bus and coach operators, adding both Anderson Travel in London and the Lakeside Group in Cheshire and Shropshire in the past two weeks.
The Lakeside deal includes the Lakeside Coaches, Merediths Coaches and AT Brown Coaches brands, bringing 145 vehicles into the First fold at bases in Ellesmere, Shropshire, and five smaller depots in Shrewsbury, Telford and South Cheshire.
