Cycling groups have welcomed the Government’s publication of new design guidelines for cycle infrastructure.
The guidelines, endorsed by the DfT, Scottish Executive and the Welsh Assembly Government, bring together and update guidance that has previously only been available in a number of separate documents. Chapters cover topics such as signing, reducing vehicle speeds on cycle routes, cycle lanes, off-road cycle routes, junctions, and cycle parking.
