HS1 has appointed Rob Holden as chairman and Nicola Shaw as its new chief executive. Holden was previously the chief executive at Crossrail, and before that he had been chief executive officer of London & Continental Railways. Shaw (right) was on the board of FirstGroup PLC and led the company’s European bus division. Before FirstGroup, she was managing director, operations at the Office of the Rail Regulator.
