The Government is to establish a single panel of experts to assess if areas of the country with city deal infrastructure funds deserve continued funding.
Infrastructure funds sit at the heart of the city deals already struck for Greater Manchester; West Yorkshire; Cambridge; and Glasgow and Clyde Valley. They are also the centrepiece of proposed deals in places such as Cardiff, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
