Operation Blue Bird is a multi-agency response to the misuse of Blue Badges in East Sussex. The project has received support from central government, which is keen to see its innovative ideas shared.

There are approximately 13,000 badges on issue in Brighton & Hove and 24,000 badges on issue in East Sussex. 

The councils concerns about the misuse of the Blue Badge, depriving entitled badge holders of their parking concessions, had seen the development of an informal partnership...
