A plan to close residential streets to through traffic in part of Edinburgh is unlawful, according to a legal opinion that opponents have provided to the council.
The opinion of the advocate (equivalent to a barrister in England) suggests that low traffic neighbourhood schemes justified by Covid-19 and introduced without consultation via temporary traffic regulation orders (TTROs) contravene the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
