Gibbon MD of Stagecoach operations in South Wales

Stagecoach has appointed Martin Gibbon to manage its bus operations in South Wales. Gibbon, who is currently operations director of Stagecoach West and Oxford Tube running bus and coach services, will take over as MD of Stagecoach South Wales in May.

A key part of his role will be working with local stakeholders across the South Wales region. Gibbon joined Stagecoach in 2011 as a graduate trainee initially spending his time in South Wales, and has also previously held senior operational roles in West Scotland, South, South West and recently in West/Oxford. He will succeed Nigel Winter, who has led the business for the past eight years, and confirmed earlier this year his plans to stand down.
