It is time to embrace the potential for new mobility to “fill the gaps” in the transport network and provide viable alternatives to private car use, states Liverpool City Region Combined Authority in its draft Local Transport Plan (LTP).
Technology is changing quickly, with car clubs, e-scooters, drones, autonomous vehicles, e-bikes, ride sharing apps and payment systems increasing the “affordability and equality of access”, says the authority.
