A new co-ordinated private and public approach to improving rail stations would boost connectivity and local economic development, according to a discussion paper from the Railway Industry Association (RIA).
The paper, Stations: Engines of Communities, calls for investment in smaller and medium sized stations as a portfolio, “getting away from today’s fragmented approach”.
