Colin Robertson, chief executive of bus builder Alexander Dennis Limited, has paid tribute to Bill Cameron, the company’s chairman, who died suddenly last week.
Speaking at the Euro Bus Expo show in Birmingham this week, Robertson said that Cameron was in every sense a true captain of industry. “Bill Cameron was a big figure in the bus industry, a straight-talking Scot who stepped up to the plate when it mattered, rolled up his sleeves and made things happen,” he said.
