The Government’s advisory body Cycling England has published new guidance to help councils calculate the economic benefits of investing in cycle schemes.
The Cycling Planning Model, prepared by consultant SQW, assumes that each additional cyclist generated by an investment cycles at least three times a week throughout the life of the project, typically assumed to be 30 years.
