Shropshire sets speed alert policy

Shropshire County Council has published a new funding policy for vehicle activated speed limit signs. In future, the county council will pay the full costs of the signs where mean speeds are 35mph or above in 30mph areas and 46mph or above in 40mph areas. The county and parish council will each pay half the costs for signs where the mean speed is 31-34mph (30mph areas) and 41-45mph (40mph areas).
