A483/A489 Newtown bypass, Powys

Six options have been put forward by the Welsh Assembly Government for consultation for the Newtown bypass route. The approximately 5.6km single carriageway road would run from a new roundabout on the A483 Pool Road, east of the town, to either the existing roundabout on the A489 Llanidloes Road or a new roundabout on Mochdre Lane, west of the town.

The route options are:
