Call to merge transport teams

Councils can cut the cost of delivering home-to-school transport and other transport services by merging vehicle fleets and teams of drivers by 15-20%, according to Tony Cross, director and global head, Scott Wilson. Cross said there were “huge potential savings” given the £1bn cost of home-to-school transport alone.
