Traffic Commissioners in England still don’t have enough resource to conduct their new bus monitoring responsibilities, Britain’s senior traffic commissioner has warned.
The Local Transport Act 2008 gives the Traffic Commissioners new responsibilities in regulating the reliability of local bus services. But writing in the commissioners’ annual report, senior traffic commissioner Philip Brown has re-iterated concern that the resources are inadequate for the task.
