Modernised Barnsley to get multi-storey

Two temporary car parks feature in plans to modernise Barnsley town centre. Under a funding bid submitted to development agency Yorkshire Forward 200 spaces would be created by the demolition of the former CEAG building and a Carpet World Store.

The CEAG site is earmarked for the forthcoming Barnsley Markets Project, which would include a multi-storey car park.
