Proposals for a £5.5m park & ride in Gloucestershire have been put on hold. The government is reviewing the funding it pays to local projects such as park & ride schemes, so the county council cannot now proceed with plans for the facility at Highnam at the junction of the A40 and A48, which is frequently subject to congestion. The site was due to open in 2014, with spaces for 500 vehicles.
