A park-and-ride service serving Gloucester is facing the axe as Gloucestershire County Council seeks £2m savings from its £5.1m public transport budget. Withdrawing the St Oswalds park-and-ride service – one of two P&R sites serving Gloucester – would save £200,000 a year. The council says the cuts also mean fewer evening and Sunday services and a bigger role for community transport.
