Nexus is to scrap a network of demand responsive bus services in Tyne and Wear in favour of fixed link subsidised services, timetabled taxibuses and community transport.
The proposal follows a review of the conurbation’s subsidised public transport network aimed at getting better value for money from the £9.1m (net) annual budget.
