The Office of Rail Regulation is consulting on revised guidelines for the operation of level crossings. The guidelines incorporate recommendations of the Rail Accident and Investigation Branch (RAIB). Consultation closes on 13 July. The Law Commission for England and Wales and the Scottish Law Commission are currently reviewing level crossing legislation.
