Nottingham City Council is waiting to hear if the Treasury will continue support for extensions to the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram scheme.
The extensions to Chilwell and Clifton are supposed to be largely funded from a PFI deal. Transport minister Norman Baker told MPs last week that the Treasury would soon be making an announcement on PFI schemes. “It may be that more clarity can be given on the tram scheme at that point.”.
