The government has hinted that it may scrap anti-social behaviour orders, with Home Secretary Theresa May announcing that it is “time to move beyond the ASBO”. She accused the former Labour government of introducing a “ludicrous list of powers for tackling anti-social behaviour” such as ASBOs, CRASBOs (crack house closure orders), dog control orders, noise abatement orders and parenting orders.
