Financial pressures facing bus operators have led to a merger between Trent Barton's Dove Holes unit and Chapel-en-le-Frith-based operator Bowers. The new company, High Peak, is owned 50% by Bowers parent company Centrebus and 50% by Trent Barton parent company Wellglade. It will run from Trent's Dove Holes depot near Buxton, with the Operating Licence held by Bowers. High Peak will have a combined fleet of 50 buses and around 100 employees.
