Following a public tender process for WiFi services, Nomad Digital has been awarded the contract by NSB, the Norwegian state railway, for a national deployment of on-train internet and leading-edge entertainment services to passengers.
The NSB project is the first in the world to cover a national rail network with broadband data connectivity. The pilot phase of deployment will be on commuter trains around Oslo and inter-city trains to Bergen and Trondheim.
