Give us an HS2 station, says Stoke

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is pressing the Government to build a station to serve the area on the proposed Birmingham-Manchester high-speed rail line.

The council plans to work with neighbouring authorities to lobby ministers for a station in the North Staffordshire/South Cheshire area.
