The Welsh Assembly Government has awarded £6m to fund measures to persuade people to reduce their car use. £1.3m will be allocated to personalised travel planning, concentrated on Cardiff. The rest of the funding will be distributed to five ‘sustainable travel centres’: Cardiff (£1.7m); Mon a Menai (£1m); Aberystwyth (£1m); Haverfordwest (£0.5m); and Carmarthen (£0.5m).
