Transport for London is changing the way it assesses whether pedestrian guardrailing is necessary on the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN).

Since 2009, TfL has reviewed all 204km of pedestrian guardrail on the TLRN using its Guardrail Risk Assessment Form (GRAF). This has led to 63.4km of guardrailing being removed – 31% of the total.
