Further strike action by Southampton CEOs

Council workers in Southampton are continuing the series of rolling strikes against wage cuts that have paralysed various city services over the last two months, with more planned.

Strike action has been taken by more than 2,400 council workers including civil enforcement officers (CEOs), refuse and recycling workers, street cleansing teams, librarians, social care workers and toll bridge collectors. On strike days parking is not enforced nor revenue collected.
