Croydon Council has granted planning permission for Westfield and Hammerson’s £1bn plan to redevelop the south London borough’s Whitgift Centre.
The Croydon?Partnership plans to create new retail, leisure and restaurant space, public realm and housing. There would also be new parking for the scheme.
The Mayor of?London has approved the scheme, which is now before Communities Secretary Eric Pickles.
