A liverpool taxi operator has launched a taxibus service in direct competition with bus services between the city centre and Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The Taxi 1A service operated by A&J Taxis starts from a bus stop in Skelhorne Street, beside Lime Street railway station, which is shared with bus operator Arriva’s airport service 500. The taxibus calls at one stop (Aigburth Vale) on the way to the airport, with a journey time of 25 minutes.
