Council ‘puts dog mess before safety’

The Safer Roads Humber partnership has criticised one of its member councils, saying it is withdrawing funding in order to tackle dog muck. 

North East Lincolnshire Council’s cabinet this week approved plans to withdraw its £116,500 annual contribution to the partnership but to remain a partnership member. The council must give the partnership nine months’ notice, after which speed camera enforcement at core sites in NE Lincs will cease.
