A patchwork of arrangements for speed and red light camera enforcement is emerging in the Avon and Somerset police force area, as councils respond differently to the police’s proposal to reactivate the cameras.
The area’s cameras were switched off in 2011 after the Government abolished the Road Safety Grant, which had funded the cameras, and Safecam, the camera partnership, was abolished.
