Labour leader: giving all regions more powers over buses will spread prosperity

Labour leader Ed Miliband says today that his party would give city and county regions more powers over public transport networks to spread prosperity.

Miliband suggested that London-style bus powers to set routes and fares were needed if the recovery was to be spread "to the town square, not leave it stuck in the Square Mile... benefiting everyday working people, not just a wealthy few".
