Eleven electric bike hire schemes have been launched across England by car share club Carplus. The schemes, selected by the car club for funding from the Department for Transport, will see more than 200 new electric bikes brought into circulation.
The successful projects include self service bikes, point to point hire networks, an electric cargo bike scheme to help hirers transport heavier loads, community led bike pools and schemes integrated with car clubs and public transport networks.
