Housing developers in one South East England authority will have to build significantly bigger garages if they are to be classified as a parking space. 

Bracknell Forest Council, a unitary in former Berkshire, says that garages built to the current standard of six metres long, three metres wide, and two metres high, will in future only count as 0.2 of a parking space when parking provision across a new development is being calculated.
