The Government is being urged to review HS2 by critics who say the project’s design is seriously flawed

 

The DfT is studying ways to improve the quality of transport decision-making by reducing cognitive biases such as optimism bias, and the phenomenon known as groupthink.

The department has appointed the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) to develop tools to reduce the influence of bias and groupthink on decision-making within transport project management.
