New transport infrastructure and cheaper rail services are vital if the development potential of the Thames Estuary in Kent is to be realised, the county council has told the Government’s new Thames Estuary 2050 Growth Commission.
The Chancellor announced the formation of the growth commission in March. It will cover North Kent, South Essex and East London, and be chaired by Tory grandee Lord Heseltine.
