THE CITY of Edinburgh Council should revive the pro-bus policies pursued in the 1990s, the city’s former transport convener has said. 

David Begg, author of the new  Greener Journeys report on buses and congestion, was the Labour convener of Edinburgh’s transport committee in the 1990s and oversaw the introduction of pro-bus policies such as the Greenways intensive bus priority measures on a number of radial roads.
