Council sees room for growth in driver retraining courses

Hertfordshire County Council is exploring opportunities to provide more of the driver retraining courses that police forces offer drivers for offences such as speeding. 

The first National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) courses were launched by police forces in the mid-1990s and the number of drivers taking them has since mushroomed, more than trebling in recent years  from 467,601 in 2010 to 1,403,555 in 2015.
