A project to help improve Crewe town centre in advance of the town gaining a station on the HS2 network has secured funding in the third round of Local Growth Fund awards announced by the Government.
The Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership’s £43.3m allocation includes £10m for a project dubbed Crewe – High Speed Ready Heart.
