HS2 LTD’s plan for the high-speed rail station at Manchester Piccadilly are unacceptable because they fail to integrate with the existing station or the city centre, Greater Manchester Combined Authority has told the Government.
Manchester City Council raised concerns about the plans late last year (LTT 6 Jan), and GMCA includes a detailed critique of the proposals in its response to the DfT’s consultation on the Crewe-Manchester route.
