£50m bypass approved using 1990s appraisal

A Labour member of the National Assembly for Wales has expressed astonishment at the Welsh Government’s decision to fund a bypass despite the scheme’s appraisal dating from the 1990s.

The Labour Government allocated £50m towards the planned A483 Llandeilo bypass in Carmarthenshire last December. 

Lee Waters, the AM for Llanelli and former director of Sustrans Cymru, recently asked infrastructure secretary Ken Skates for the analysis on the bypass.
