Inverness commuter rail takes shape

Residents in parts of the Scottish Highlands will be able to commute to work in Inverness by rail for the first time in recent memory from the 12 December.

The first service from Kingussie will arrive in Inverness at 08.05, more than two hours earlier than at present. The first service from Lairg will reach Inverness at 08.14, almost two-and-a-half hours earlier. Extra trains will also run during the day.
