Stoke-on-Trent Council has proposed hikes to tariffs at one of its biggest car parks, along with a rise in Council Tax and a dozen job losses in its bid to make an extra £10.5m in savings.
In its budget for 2018-19, the authority is seeking a 4% Council Tax rise next year. The Independent-Conservative administration is also proposing to increase parking charges at leisure centres and to reduce its budget for homelessness services by £316,000.
