Tunnels project ‘improper use of active travel funds’

Welsh active travel funding should not be spent converting two disused rail tunnels into routes for cycling and walking, the architect of the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 said this week.

Campaigners are pressing for the reopening of the two-mile tunnel at the head of the Rhondda Valley as a tourist attraction.
