A multi-operator bus ticket covering Portsmouth, Southampton and the south of Hampshire is used for about 0.27 per cent of bus trips and is always likely to be a “niche” product, according to its promoter. Consultants have meanwhile warned that contactless ticketing could be a threat to the ticket’s long-term viability.
