Highland Council has reported savings of more than £400,000 in business travel costs in the first 12 months of a contract with Enterprise for the provision of 60 vehicles across 21 offices. Vehicles are now available for booking by the hour or day by employees who would have previously used a private car and claimed mileage reimbursement. Overall business mileage has dropped by 13 per cent. The car club fleet should rise to 80 by the end of the year....
